The Cold Therapy Unit (pads sold separately) provides a very specific and controlled method of cooling for use after trauma. This cooling therapy replaces the use of any ice and is used continuously for uninterrupted treatment which reduces pain, swelling and the use of narcotic pain medications. The cold therapy unit is a motorized unit that pumps water through the pad at a specific temperature (usually 50 degrees F). |
